Yum! Restaurants India will shortly open India’s first Taco Bell outlet in Bangalore. Yum! also operates KFC and Pizza Hut in India. Aparna Chopra, head of marketing for Taco Bell India, said: “We are still working on the location but the first store will come up in Bangalore very soon.” The chain is learnt to be looking at multiple outlets in Bangalore but locations have not been finalised yet.
Taco Bell is a Mexican speciality chain of US-based fast food restaurant brands operator Yum! Restaurants. With this new offering, Yum! is looking to tap the young consumer segment as part of its effort to increase its footprint in the estimated $1-billion Indian fast food market.
